Personal pet care · Parkside & the Sunset, San Francisco
Dogs, the ocean,
and fifty years
of knowing both.
Bob walks, boards, and looks after dogs the way he surfs and photographs this coast — patiently, and with real attention. Beach runs at Ocean Beach, photo updates while you’re away, and a meet & greet before anything else.

The deal with Bob
Fifty years of dogs,
every size and story.
Bob — Robert W. if you’re being formal — has spent fifty years around dogs of every temperament. Tiny toy breeds and giant breeds. Reactive dogs who need someone calm. Puppies with rocket fuel in them, and seniors who want patience and a slow lap around the block. He gives oral meds and injections without drama, does baths and light grooming, and sends photo updates — good ones — so you can see the beach run instead of wondering about it.
And ask him about the midnight storm rescue — that’s his story to tell.

“My dog absolutely adores him and gets so excited for their walks. He’s reliable, caring, and always goes above and beyond. I feel lucky to have found someone I can fully trust with my pup!”
Rachael S. · Dog Walking
“My dog took to Bob immediately. Bob is calm and kind and knows exactly how to make animals feel comfortable with him immediately.”
Chellie D. · Dog Walking
“He was so patient and understanding with our crazy energetic GSP who went bonkers on him the first time he came alone but now loves and respects him. Robert is respectful and responsive. Highly recommend!”
Andrew B. · Dog Walking
“Bob takes great care of our two energetic and strong labs. They are a lot to handle in public and need lots of exercise. We are very comfortable when they are under Bob’s care because of the frequent updates and picture of beach playtime.”

Good questions
What kinds of dogs does Bob take?+
All sizes — tiny toy breeds to giant breeds (his own two are 110 pounds each). Puppies, seniors, reactive dogs, special-needs dogs. Boarding is limited to well-behaved, spayed/neutered pups after a meet-and-greet.
Can Bob handle medication?+
Yes — oral meds and injections, with plenty of practice making it low-stress. Senior dogs and special-needs dogs are a specialty.
Where do the walks happen?+
Your neighborhood, nearby parks, or a proper run at the beach. Dog park visits too, if you and your pup are comfortable with that.
Will I get updates?+
Yes — Bob sends photo updates from walks and stays, so you can see the beach playtime instead of imagining it.
